After an exciting Saturday evening, WWE SummerSlam 2026 continues at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On Night One, we saw Oba Femi finally slay the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, inside Hell in a Cell. We also saw the return of Randy Orton for the first time since WrestleMania 42, costing Cody Rhodes the WWE Championship against CM Punk. But what kind of moments will Sunday night bring?
Tonight’s main event will see Roman Reigns defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. The history between Reigns and Rollins is well documented, going all the way back to their main roster debut alongside Dean Ambrose (AEW’s Jon Moxley) as the faction known as The Shield.
Rollins’ betrayal of the faction has haunted the Tribal Chief for years, and Rollins always seemingly has the OTC’s number when the two men meet one-on-one. Will Reigns finally score his definitive victory over Rollins? Or will Rollins cement his legacy as being the man that Roman Reigns can’t beat? We’ll find out soon enough.
With WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley sidelined with an injury, an Interim WWE Women’s Champion will be crowned later tonight in a five-way ladder match. WWE Women’s United States Champion and hometown girl Tiffany Stratton will take on Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Chelsea Green, and Lash Legend.
Which woman will be waiting for Ripley when she returns from injury to unify the titles? Only time will tell.
Another hometown WWE Superstar will be looking to claim some gold tonight as Chad Gable goes one-on-one with Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. Penta defeated Gable in his WWE debut back in 2025, sending the former leader of the American Made on a downward spiral that turned him into El Grande Americano. Now armed with a new respect for Lucha Libre, Gable will look to shake the ghosts of his past and defeat Penta for the very first time to become champion.
Also scheduled for tonight’s event, Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio will compete in a Human Monies on a pole match. Finn Balor will also go one-on-one with Sami Zayn to determine the number one contender for CM Punk’s WWE Championship.
WWE SummerSlam Night Two results:
Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, and Gunther to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship. Before the match begins, Nick Aldis comes out and adds Gunther to the match, making it a triple threat. Aldis follows that up by adding Kevin Owens to the match, making it a fatal four-way! KO immediately attacks both Balor and Gunther as Zayn watches on in complete and utter shock.
Zayn and Owens stare each other down and embrace in a hug before they start slugging it out. The action spills out to ringside, and KO hits a Swanton on everyone. Once back in the ring, Gunther locks a sleeper hold on Owens until it’s broken up, and KO rolls out of the ring while The Ring General battles with Balor and Zayn.

Balor and Gunther would go to the outside as KO and Zayn would go at it again in the ring. Owens attempted a Swanton on Zayn, who got his knees up, and KO immediately sold the neck. The referee checks on KO as Zayn looks to set him up for a Helluva Kick until Gunther and Balor returned to the ring.
Owens manages to recover and land a couple of Stunners before Zayn hits him with a Blue Thunder Bomb for the count of two. Owens fires back and hits Zayn with a Stunner to score the shocking pinfall victory.

A shocking title change
Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams (w/ Lil Yachty) to become the new WWE United States Champion. The match finds its way to ringside early as Williams takes it to Corbin. Williams pulls out a table as he and Yachty set it up while Corbin rolls back into the ring and out the other side. Trick chases him and runs right into a Deep Six. Corbin gets the match back in the ring and pummels the champion.
The Nomad tosses Williams back outside as Yachty gets in Corbin’s face and gets pie-faced into the barricade for his troubles. Yachty grabs a kendo stick and chases Corbin back in the ring as a waiting Williams is waiting for him with a few quick moves and Book End for a two-count.

Yachty would hit Corbin with the kendo stick behind the referee’s back, letting Trick hit Corbin with a modified Death Valley Driver for another two-count. Williams goes for the Trick Shot, but Corbin leaves the ring and grabs the United States Title. Yachty tries to take the title from him and takes a botched bump through the table for his troubles.
This distracts Trick and the referee, allowing Corbin to hit Williams with the Title and the End of Days to score the pinfall victory.

Chelsea Green achieves her dream
Chelsea Green defeated Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, and Lash Legend in a ladder match to become the Interim WWE Women’s Champion. The match begins at ringside with Cargill and Flair immediately brawling. Legend powerbombs Stratton into a ladder and takes down Green as well. Legend would take a ladder into the ring early, and Flair tries to stop her from using it, but isn’t successful.
Cargill tries her luck, but it quickly turns into the two women teaming up instead against Stratton and Green. After taking care of Green and Stratton, Cargill and Legend fight briefly before Flair gets back in the action. The match becomes chaotic at this point until Cargill tries to climb the ladder but is taken down by Stratton. Tiffy tries to climb, but is stopped by Charlotte.

Multiple women have attempted to climb the ladder to retrieve the title but no one had a better shot at it than Chelsea Green, who was thwarted by Cargill’s cronies Michin and B-Fab giving her an unfair advantage in the match. Flair, Cargill, Stratton, and Legend would all brawl at the top of two ladders.
Legend and Stratton get knocked off, followed by Flair and Cargill taking each other down. Green uses the opportunity to climb the ladder and capture the title.

Dominik Mysterio is forever cursed
Human Monies on a Pole: Danhausen defeated Dominik Mysterio. Both Mysterio and Danhausen quickly try to climb the turnbuckle to get the Human Monies, but to no avail. Things quickly settle into an actual match with Dirty Dom in firm control over the Very Nice, Very Evil Danhausen.
Eventually, Danhausen got an opportunity to hit the Triple D, but after hitting it and trying to retrieve the sack of Human Monies, JD McDonagh interfered and attacked Danhausen.

This brought out the Minihausens, who would eventually overwhelm McDonagh. The Minihausens attempted to retrieve the Human Monies but were stopped by Mysterio.
JD would overwhelm Danhausen until Joe Hendry came out with a guitar and broke it over McDonagh’s back. Danhausen and Mysterio fight it out on the turnbuckles. Dominik gets cursed with pyro to the face, allowing Danhausen to retrieve the sack of Human Monies and win the match.

Chad Gable competes in his hometown for the Intercontinental Title
Chad Gable defeated Penta to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The match begins with a handshake and quickly turns into some back-and-forth chain wrestling between the champion and challenger. Gable has the WWE Universe behind him as Penta dishes out the offense until he can reverse a move into some rolling German Suplexes.
The match eventually spilled to the outside as Penta dives onto Gable, who teases that he re-injured his shoulder. Penta takes Gable back in the ring and hits the Penta Driver for a two-count. The two men get into a chopping battle, and Gable somehow gets busted open.

Penta reverses a top rope splash from Gable into the Sacrifice, targeting his injured shoulder. Gable reverses the Mexican Destroyer into an ankle lock, but Penta quickly escapes. On the ring apron, Gable hits Penta with a German Suplex and follows it up with a moonsault to the floor.
Gable tosses Penta back in the ring and lands a top rope headbutt for a count of two. The champion fights back and lands a Mexican Destroyer on the ring apron, but only gets a two-count on the challenger. Gable manages to apply a grapevine ankle lock to earn the submission victory. Penta shows Gable respect after the match and puts the title around his waist. Gable’s family gets in the ring to celebrate the victory with him in a heartwarming moment.

It’s time for the main event!
Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns and Rollins stand in the middle of the ring and talk at one another without microphones for like a minute before any physicality happens. The champion and challenger go back and forth early on, with neither man getting any type of real advantage over the other.
Rollins reverses a Superman Punch from Reigns and clotheslines him out of the ring, and follows it up with multiple suicide dives to the outside. Reigns would eventually reverse one and fire back with a Drive By to take advantage of the match as the two men start brawling in the crowd. The match should have easily ended in a double countout by now, but the referee isn’t enforcing the rules at all.

Things finally get back to ringside, where Rollins tries to spear Reigns through the guardrail, but gets caught, and Reigns powerbombs Rollins through the Spanish commentator’s table instead. Roman tries to put Seth through the other commentator’s table, but Seth reverses it and powerbombs him through it. Now the referee decides he knows how to count and begins to count out both men, who both make it in at nine.
Rollins immediately nails Reigns with a Pedigree and gets a two-count. Seth tries to follow up with a Stomp, but Roman hits him with a Superman Punch and gets a two-count of his own. Rollins lands a stomp, and we get another two-count. Roman locks Seth in a guillotine choke, but Rollins powers out and gets speared for his troubles, and we get yet another near pinfall.

Reigns tries to spear Rollins again, but gets speared by Rollins instead for another two-count. Roman hits Rollins with a buckle bomb and a stomp for another near fall. The champion and challenger slug it out, resulting in the referee being taken down twice. Rollins hits another stomp on Reigns, but no one is there to count the pin.
Seth tries to hit Roman in the back with a steel chair, but Reigns stops it. He has the opportunity to do it himself, but tosses the chair instead. After a long back-and-forth brawl that saw many spears and stomps, Reigns hit one final spear as the referee returned to count to three.

After the match, Reigns and Rollins sit in the ring in opposite corners, staring at each other. Reigns gets up and offers Rollins the Shield bump. Rollins gets up and places the mask on the mat between them to seemingly recognize Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) and does the Shield bump before leaving, leaving Reigns alone in the ring to celebrate asWWE SummerSlam Night Twogoes off the air.
